Ray was presented with a cheque for £8,352 which the cadets had raised through sponsorship. The challenge involved crossing the bridges spanning the Thames from Tower Bridge to Vauxhall Bridge and over 150 cadets took part.

A worthwhile contribution

Go the Distance is about much more than raising funds. It’s about understanding the valuable work St Dunstan’s do and how you can contribute. Your commitment to the challenge will ensure that more people are aware of the wonderful support
St Dunstan’s provides for a group of truly courageous and remarkable people.

At the same time, you’ll earn national recognition and respect for the Cadet Force and prove your worth as a Cadet, a citizen and an individual.

Why St Dunstan’s?

St Dunstan’s, the charity for blind ex-Service men and women, created Go the Distance because it recognises the same qualities of courage and self belief in the cadet force that characterises the people it supports.
