St Dunstan’s needs you! We’re calling Units from across the UK to set themselves a nocturnal or blindfold challenge, giving them a taste of what life is like for people who have lost their sight, whilst raising awareness and vital funds for the charity’s work.

 Jim with Anneka Forces Challenge

SSgt Jim Offord and nine of his colleagues completed 10 Marathons in 5 Days, tabbing day  and night covering 270miles complete with Army issue Bergen rucksacks filled to weighting 40lbs for their Forces Challenge

I’d like to encourage Forces personnel to test their mettle by taking up St Dunstan’s Forces Challenge. It’s a great way to thank and support ex-Servicemen and women who have shown courage and determination having lost their sight.

So...what next?

Once you have selected a suitable challenge and date, fill out the Forces Challenge Registration Form to let us know.  It can be as competitive, large or small as you wish, the only thing we ask is that you raise as much as you can for St Dunstan’s.  We will support you with fundraising materials and advice.  Awards will be made at the end of the year for the Most Inventive Challenge and for the Highest Fundraising Challenge.  All units raising over £500 will receive a commemorative plaque for their efforts.
