Forces Challenge
St Dunstan’s needs you! We’re calling Units from across the UK to get involved with an exciting new fundraising initiative. The Forces Challenge invites Service men and women to set themselves a nocturnal or blindfold challenge to give them a taste of what life is like for people who have lost their sight, whilst raising awareness and vital funds for the charity’s work.

What's your Forces Challenge?
The events held so far range from a blindfold 5-a-side football game by HMS Sultan to stripping down and reassembling general purpose machine guns whilst wearing blindfolds. The only requirement we set for the Challenge is that whatever you choose to do includes a blindfold or nocturnal theme. Other than that, the possibilities for the Challenge are endless. So get your thinking caps on and get planning!
Soldiers Take Up Marathon with a Difference!
24 soldiers from The Royal Logistic Corps Stores Troop, Theatre Equipment Support Group, pictured above, currently deployed in Afghanistan are facing a challenge of a lifetime as they gear up to carry out a marathon with a difference. Instead of just running a marathon they intend to carry out the gruelling 26.2 mile distance pushing and pulling military vehicles ranging from a Land Rover to a 30 tonne armoured personnel carrier all at high altitude and in temperatures in excess of 35°C. We are in awe of this challenge and wish them the best of luck with their training and the challenge! Why Get Involved?
Funds donated will help us to continue to offer lifelong support enabling ex-Service men and women to regain their confidence and independence after losing their sight. Read more about the work of St Dunstan's.
