Spinnaker Tower Challenge - Thursday 14th October
Join us on Thursday 14th October 2010 for the ultimate quad-burning endurance test.
We are offering a new event to our supporters, The Spinnaker Tower Challenge! Run (or walk) up the 560 stairs where the finish will reward you with stunning views across the South Coast, 100 metres above sea level. And for the competitive amongst you, the kind people at Brooks have donated £100 of sports vouchers for the fastest male and fastest female on the day.
To take part in this event we ask that you to pay a registration fee of £18* and pledge to raise a minimum of £60.
The Viewing Deck boasts Europe’s largest glass floor, where event participants can dare to ‘walk on air’! Situated on the waterfront at Gunwharf Quays, Spinnaker Tower offers amazing 350º panoramic views of Portsmouth Harbour, the South coast and the Isle of Wight, with views stretching out for up to 23 miles – breathtaking by day and a glittering sea of lights by night.
Our supporters at HMS Sultan in Gosport are also geared up to take on this challenge, so if you fancy pitting your fitness against the Royal Navy’s finest whilst raising funds to support blind heroes then this is the event for you!
The event is geared to be inclusive for people of all abilities, however, so if a walk is more your thing you will be in very good company – whichever speed you choose, it is a personal challenge like no other and one which will raise funds to enable
St Dunstan’s to continue it’s vital work.
