Royal Parks Half Marathon Runner Richard Wollaston

Richard Wollaston RP09 Runner

Richard ran this year’s Royal Parks Half Marathon for St Dunstan’s.  His father-in-law, Bill Routledge, is a St Dunstaner which inspired Richard to become part of the St Dustan’s running team.

‘I am pleased to say that I have raised £1005.00 for St Dunstan's.  Every penny helped me on the way and will be put to excellent use by St Dunstan's. I will now have the pleasure of being able to watch my father-in-law march down Whitehall on Remembrance Day and accompanying him to the Royal Albert Hall to see the Festival of Remembrance the day before.  Both these events would not be happening without the help of St Dunstans.’

‘Although I have to admit that at 10 miles I was feeling the pain and strain, this was by far the best half marathon that I have ever run in.  Running with over 10,000 runners, supported by many many more spectators, on a nice cool day, and around one of the best courses I have ever come across and in one of the best cities in the world, was almost a pleasure.'
