Virgin London Marathon 17/04/11
If you are lucky enough to get a ballot place in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon and haven't decided which charity to fundraise for why not choose St Dunstan's. Simply email us and we will send you out a fundraising pack and St Dunstan's running vest and give you our full support in the run up to the race. We will have a limited number of places available which will be confirmed later in the year but why not get ahead of the pack and complete our online application form now.
It's the event of a life time!
Well done to all of our runners who took part the 2010 Virgin London Marathon !
We had a small St Dunstan’s team running the London Marathon this year, see some pictures here, they include:
Jon Foxall, this was the first time he ran the marathon and he has already raised just under £1500.

a quote from Jon's Just Giving page; Jon's Grandfather was his inspiration for doing this event"One such person who received almost a decade of help from St Dunstan's was my Grandpa who was provided equipment so he could work in the kitchen safely and a magnifying device so he could still make out photos of his great grandchildren. Without this support he wouldn't have been able to live a fairly normal life, and he would have had to rely on others which he never liked."
St Dunstaners who ran the event were:
Iain Millard, who ran his 10th London Marathon and was guided by Alex White, formerly of the Sports and Rec Dept
Sue Eyles – guided by Cursty Watts (a receptionist at Ovingdean)
Billy Black – guided by Stephen Murphy from Sports and Rec
And of course our intrepid explorer, Mike Scholes, fresh back from the North Pole!
