Payroll giving is a simple way to give regularly to St Dunstan’s from your salary and you will be eligible for tax relief on your donations.

How will St Dunstan's benefit?

If you’re a basic rate taxpayer, and you want to donate £10, your donation will only cost you £7.80, as you’ll make a 22% tax saving. However, St Dunstan’s will still get the full £10. A higher rate taxpayer will make a 40% saving on the same £10 donation, so it will cost them only £6.

How will my company benefit?

A payroll giving scheme can have great benefits for businesses. It shows:

  • You’re committed to working in partnership with the community
  • It makes employees and customers feel good about the company
  • It’s easy – simply promote the scheme internally and hand over the money to a Payroll Giving agency each month.

How do I give through my payroll?

  • First, find out if your employer runs a Payroll Giving scheme – if not, you may like
to suggest they set one up (see above).
  • If they have an existing scheme, you can choose to give as little or as much of your monthly salary as you choose.
  • Simply authorise your employer to deduct the gift from your pay, via an Inland Revenue-approved Payroll Giving agency, who will pass it on to us.
